Microsoft Office programs such as PowerPoint include proofing tools (spelling dictionaries, thesauri, and grammar rules) for more than one language. Typically, if you use English as your main language, then Spanish, French, and some other dictionaries may be already installed. This enables you to spell check words in other languages.
In Office for Mac 2011, proofing tools for the language you required are placed in the following location:
Macintosh HD:Applications:MS Office 2011:Office:Shared Applications:Proofing Tools
In Figure 1 you can see all proofing tools installed in their default location within Office 2011 for Mac.

If the proofing tool that you want to use is not installed, use the Office Installer on your original installation disk to run a custom installation. Select only the check-boxes for the proofing tools that you want to install.
More information on proofing tools can be found on the Proofing tools that are available for each language page, on the Microsoft site.
