Advanced Text Transforms in PowerPoint 2013 for Windows

Working on a presentation creating slides that can attract attention is always a challenge. This is more challenging when you want to draw attention to a motto, a slogan or an axiom. To make such text stand apart, it is easy to apply text transform effects to your selected text. Apart from using presets, you can go further and tweak any of the presets to make your own distinctive Transform effect. In this tutorial you'll learn how to tweak the Transform text effect in PowerPoint 2013 for Windows.

Follow these steps to explore more:

1. Select text that already has the Transform text effect applied, as shown in Figure 1.

2. Notice the pink handle on the text box in Figure 1, highlighted in red. Place the cursor over the pink handle, and click to select it.
Note: The placement of the pink handle depends upon which Transform preset you have applied to text. For the example shown in this tutorial, we applied the Stop transform preset. This one shows a pink handle on the top left area of your text. Additionally, do note that some Transform effects such as the Wave 1, Double Wave 2, etc. may have two pink handles rather than one.
3. Now, drag the selected pink handle up or down to make the applied Transform effect more prominent or subtle. In Figure 2 you can see that the Transform effect is being made more prominent by dragging the pink handle downwards.

4. In Figure 3 below, you can see the result of tweaking the Transform effect. Compare Figures 1 and 3 to see how the Transform effect looks more pronounced in the latter Figure.

5. All the Transform presets give different results when you drag the pink handle. Figures 4 and 5, below show text in its original state, and how the same text looks after we dragged the pink handles.
